Your flight will start and finish at Elvington Airport, sited just SE of York. Please refer to map below for directions. Take a thrilling helicopter flight to see from the air one of the most historic cities in England - York. Admire the famous 'Minster' - the Gothic Cathedral that was nearly destroyed by fire in 1984.
The pilot will also point out many other landmarks as the tour continues over the beautiful Yorkshire scenery en route to Ripon, passing close to RAF Linton-on-Ouse and Dishforth airfields - both operated by the military. Ripon not only has one of the oldest cathedrals in the country, but also has the famous racecourse.
You will be able to see Newby Hall and Gardens as your flight now heads towards the Harewood Estate with its stately home, near Leeds. There you will find the outdoor village of Emmerdale where the famous TV soap series is filmed - the picturesque Yorkshire Dales Home Farm, the Woolpack and all your other favourite homes and buildings.
Finally, heading back we will pass near to the John Smith's brewery at Tadcaster before descending back to Elvington Airport.
Routes may vary due to air traffic restrictions passed to the pilot by local air traffic control.
